Strategic Area: Coalition Building

Goal
To develop a sustainable collaborative coalition of faith-based and grassroots community organizations called Syracuse Urban Youth Development Coalition.

Focus Areas

◊ Set unified community goals and initiatives
◊ Track/monitor success of youth and families
◊ Provide unified support and advocacy with regional leaders
◊ Create sustainable system with Syracuse University involvement in projects, research and organizational support

Desired Results
Goals will be set by partner coalition members that are measurable and achievable resulting in:

Seven member organizations elevating performance by 1 rank in Empire State Advantage Quality Award system in 5 of 7 categories. Categories include:

1. Leadership
2. Strategic planning
3. Customer focus
4. Measurement
5. Human Resources
6. Process management
7. Organizational results

Goals established with coalition strategic plan will be met with 80% attainment Year 1, 90% Year 2 and 100% Year 3.

A logics model system will be established and operational with partner organizations and service delivery organizations using approach, deployment, results strategy.
