Alternative to Incarceration Program (A-TIP)

This program is aimed at providing ministries of prevention and intervention for troubled teens who find themselves at risk, or currently in the criminal justice system.

Through this program, Project H.O.P.E. seeks to assist youth by providing them with:

◊ Referrals to community service programs;

◊ The youth work off their hours by doing various jobs in the community;

◊ Counseling by licensed counselors who target the youth’s problem areas;

◊ Mentoring by members of the Syracuse Police department;

◊ Spiritual guidance to help them avoid future problems with criminal justice system;

◊ Assistance in (a) school tutoring, (b) receiving of one’s G.E.D., and (c) creating resumes and filling out job applications; and

◊ Job connections and referrals.
